BURNT
GRAPHIC TEES
We were warned. We watched it happen anyway. Burnt graphic tees for people who saw this coming and have run out of patience explaining it.
What Burnt Actually Says
Burnt isn't a doom tee and it isn't a denial tee. It's the specific, tired clarity of people who have watched predicted climate outcomes — worse fire seasons, longer droughts, record heat — arrive more or less exactly as described, repeatedly, without much appetite left for relitigating whether it's real.
The category speaks from that exhaustion rather than from an explainer position. It assumes the audience has already done the reading. The design doesn't argue the case. It just names what's happening, plainly, the way you'd talk to someone who was there for the last one too.
NOT DESPAIR. NOT DENIAL. JUST THE TIRED, CLEAR-EYED VERSION IN BETWEEN.
"We were warned. We watched it happen anyway."

Where Burnt Sits Next To Wildlife And The Bush
There's real overlap between Burnt, Wildlife and The Bush — bushfire and drought touch the fauna covered in one and the rural life covered in the other. But Burnt is the sharpest of the three, focused specifically on the climate consequence itself rather than the animals or the place. It's the category that names the fire season directly rather than describing what lives through it or where it happens.
The three categories can be read together or separately. Someone deep in rural life might want The Bush. Someone who wants the direct climate statement wants Burnt.
Exhaustion, Not Despair
There's a meaningful difference between despair and exhaustion. Despair gives up. Exhaustion just stops being surprised — it keeps paying attention, keeps noticing, but has run out of patience for having the same argument about whether the pattern is real. Burnt speaks from that second position: still watching, still noticing, just done explaining it to anyone who isn't already there.
